What IS that in the second image, anyway? A shoe?
Beckett didn't get everything right, but one thing he did get right was clows and their problematic footwear. Indeed, you're correct. It's amazing that anyone ever found such a thing funny.
By clows I mean clowns, I think.
I demand proof that clowns have ever been anything short of frightening.
