Have you heard Geoffrey Oryema's cover of "Suzanne" from the I'M YOUR FAN album? Stellar. I'm also quite fond of Tori Amos' cover of "Famous Blue Raincoat."
Big LC fan here.
I love the Amos cover! The Oryema "Suzanne" is good, but I don't like that little jaunty riff he sings at the end. It breaks the tone for me.
Peter Gabriel's version on Tower of Song is pretty good as well, but a little easy on the production. He could have done more with it, as I listen to how much he's put into similar songs of his own, like "Mercy Street."
