5 Songs
Gary McDowell tagged me to list five songs that knock my socks off.
Neil Young: Like a Hurricane
The Flaming Lips: Do You Realize??
Talking Heads: Heaven
Harry Nilsson: Everybody’s Talking
The Beatles: Tomorrow Never Knows
It seems the only time I ever tagged somone, they'd already been tagged. But I'll try it again with C. Dale Young, Matthew Thorburn, and Mary Biddinger.

Right on, John. I love that Neil Young song.

Good God, I miss Harry Nilsson. That guy had more melodic songs . . . Years later he'd kind
of thrown in the towel and wrote the songs to Popeye, a Robert Altman movie (weird). But Fear of Music, Talking Heads, IS on my list
of top albums. I can't imagine picking a song from it (so I didn't on my list). And of course,
the Beatles. Right. Pick one.
Let's just move on. The Flaming Lips but no Wilco?
Fine!
DDL,
I would have added:
Wilco: Sunken Treasure
Son Volt: Tear-Stained Eye
(But I was only allowed five!)
I miss the Heads. Byrne just wasn't the same without them.
Like a Hurricane, Heaven, and TNK are definitely on my top X list (where X is somewhere between 25 and 50).
Here you go, sir:
