Searching for a Heartbeat in Poetry & Music
Do you know what I mean? Sometimes I'm overcome by the field of time, as it unfolds less and less as we get older and our questions stop being so open . . . I'm just about the age Neil Young was when he made this video, and I understand there's always this blur to wanting, and a sympathetic nostalgia, back where there's nowhere to stay.See the sky about to rain? I don't know there were music vidoes that old. It is a pretty cheesy video, though. Wouldn't you say?
Well, yes it is, but isn't most everything cheesy in its way? (It's actually cut from a movie, so it's not really a video . . . but thank you for reminding me how old I am!)
Just because you like music that is old does not necessarily equate with your being old. But you can find just about anything on YouTube, can't you?
One can certainly try . . . (Well, maybe not true love.)
